Ausbildungsdauer

Die Ausbildung erfolgt an den Lernorten Betrieb und Berufsschule.

Arbeitsgebiet
Chemikanten und Chemikantinnen arbeiten team- und prozessorientiert vor allem in der chemischen sowie der verwandten Industrie (z.B. Kautschuk-, Kunststoff-, und Mineralölverarbeitung, Wirkstoffproduktion, Entsorgungswirtschaft). Ihr Einsatzbereich umfasst dabei die Herstellung, Aufbereitung und Verarbeitung chemischer Stoffe und Zubereitungen. Das Aufgabenspektrum umfasst die Bedienung und Überwachung von Produktionsanlagen mit Hilfe von Anlagen der Mess-, Steuerungs- und Regelungstechnik, die Durchführung von Maßnahmen zur Wartung und vorbeugenden Instandhaltung eingesetzter Geräte und Anlagen sowie chemisch-technische Arbeiten und die prozessbegleitende Bestimmung von Stoffkonstanten und Stoffeigenschaften.

Berufliche Qualifikationen
Chemikant/innen verfügen über breit angelegte Fertigkeiten und Kenntnisse auf dem Gebiet der Verfahrens-, Prozessleit- und Anlagentechnik, die sie entlang der Prozesskette zu einer interdisziplinären Zusammenarbeit befähigen. Im letzten Ausbildungsabschnitt haben Chemikant/innen, abhängig von den betrieblichen Schwerpunkten des Ausbildungsbetriebes, Spezialfertigkeiten und -kenntnisse sowie internationale Kompetenz erworben.

Chemikant/innen

• planen, kontrollieren und dokumentieren die Arbeitsschritte zur Herstellung und Verarbeitung verschiedener Produkte;
• überwachen, steuern und dokumentieren Produktionsabläufe und Verarbeitungsprozesse;
• gewährleisten im Team einen weitgehend störungsfreien Prozessablauf
• arbeiten mit weiterem Fachpersonal bei der Wartung, Störungsbeseitigung und Instandhaltung zusammen;
• bestimmen prozessbegleitend Stoffkonstanten und Stoffeigenschaften;
• setzen Computer und Prozessleittechnik zur Geräte- und Anlagensteuerung, zur Datenerfassung und –verarbeitung sowie zur Dokumentation; Informationsbeschaffung und für logistische und organisatorische Zwecke ein;
• berücksichtigen bei ihren Arbeiten im Rahmen von „responsible care“ die Regelungen des Gesundheits- und Umweltschutzes, des Arbeitsschutzes, der Anlagensicherheit sowie der Qualitätssicherung;
• führen Abfälle einer umweltgerechten Verwertung und Beseitigung zu.

Field of activity
Chemical technicians work process-oriented and in teams, especially in the chemical industry and related industries (e.g. rubber, synthetic material and mineral oil processing, active substance production, waste management). They are responsible for the production, preparation and processing of chemical substances and preparations. The task spectrum includes operation and monitoring of industrial installations aided by process measuring and automatic control engineering systems, servicing and preventive maintenance of equipment and installations as well as chemical-technical work and the process-integrated determination of material constants and material properties.

Occupational skills
Chemical technicians are equipped with a broad range of skills and knowledge in the fields of processing, process control and plant engineering which enable them to work in interdisciplinary teams along the process chain. In the final training stage, chemical technicians have acquired specialized skills and knowledge as well as international competence, depending on the operational priorities of the company providing training

Chemical technicians

• plan, control and document the steps necessary for the production and processing of different products;
• supervise, control and document production flow and processing steps;
• ensure with their team a largely trouble-free manufacturing process;
• cooperate with other qualified staff in servicing, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance;
• determine material constants and material properties in-process;
• use computers and process control systems for machine and plant control, data retrieval and processing as well as for documentation purposes, for obtaining information and for logistic and organizational purposes;
• take the health and environment protection, work safety, plant safety and quality assurance regulations into account in their work, in the framework of "responsible care";
• ensure ecology-minded waste disposal and recycling.

Domaine d’activité
Les préparateurs / préparatrices en chimie exercent leur métier en équipe et en fonction des processus mis en œuvre, essentiellement dans l’industrie chimique et les industries apparentées (telles que caoutchoucs, matières plastiques, pétrochimie, fabrication de produits chimiques, recyclage des déchets). Leur activité comprend la production, la préparation et le traitement de substances et de composés chimiques. Leurs tâches s’étendent de la commande et surveillance des installations de production au moyen d’éléments techniques de mesure, commande et régulation, aux interventions d’entretien et de maintenance des installations et appareils utilisés en passant par des opérations technico-chimiques et la saisie en processus des constantes et propriétés des substances.

Capacités professionnelles
Les préparateurs/préparatrices en chimie disposent de vastes connaissances et compétences dans le domaine de la commande d’installations et de processus, qui les rendent aptes à un travail en équipes interdisciplinaires tout au long de la chaîne processuelle. La dernière partie de leur formation est consacrée à la spécialisation – dépendante des profils d’entreprises – de leurs connaissances et savoir-faire, ainsi qu’à une qualification à l’international.

Les préparateurs / préparatrices en chimie

• projettent, contrôlent et protocolent les différentes étapes de fabrication et de traitement de différents produits;
• surveillent, commandent et protocolent les processus de production et de traitement;
• assurent en équipe le déroulement régulier des processus;
• coopèrent avec d’autres personnels spécialistes pour l’entretien, la maintenance et les réparations;
• saisissent en processus les constantes et les propriétés des substances;
• maîtrisent l’informatique et la technique de commande des processus appliquées aux appareils et installations, la saisie et le traitement de données, les tâches de documentation, de saisie de l’information à des fins logistiques et organisationnelles;
• appliquent, conformément aux principes de „responsible care“, les normes en vigueur de sécurité au travail, de sécurité des installations et d’assurance-qualité, de prévention sanitaire et de protection de l’environnement;
• affectent les déchets produits à un recyclage et une élimination écologiques.
